Tension Meter for Forming Fabric and Dryer Fabric

The tension meter is designed to be compact, precise in measurement, sturdy and durable, suitable for measuring the tension of paper webs in operation. Readings are convenient and fast, making it easy to check and set the ideal tension value. The chassis frame isolates a mesh from the pressure sensing element, and the sensing element presses against the fabric under pre pressure.

The displacement of the sensing element is recorded and converted into the tension of the fabric. The maximum value during the measurement process can be recorded by a memory pointer, which can be reset to zero through a mechanical device. Therefore, even in dark and inconvenient places for measurement, the measured tension value can still be accurately recorded, while leaving one hand free to ensure safety.

Usge Method of Fabric Tension Meter

1. The SH200 type tension gauge consists of a chassis, an operating handle, a meter head, a thin film rubber waterproof ring, and several internal components.

2. The dial of the SH200 tension meter does not have a non-uniform scale, allowing for direct measurement of fabric tension data without the need for table conversion.

3. The SH200 tension meter has a reading pointer "I" that does not return to pointer "II". Before use, align the zero position of the rotatable dial with pointer "I", then turn pointer "II" counterclockwise to zero position, hold the instrument handle, and gradually press the chassis towards the tested fabric surface until the bottom plane of the chassis fully contacts the real mesh surface, and then the reading can be made. At the same time, the pointer "I" rotates clockwise, pushing the pointer "II" to the reading position. When the instrument is removed after the test is completed, the pointer "I" quickly returns to zero, while the pointer "II" remains in the reading position without moving.

4. The SH200 tension meter does not require any power supply, has a reasonable structure, is easy to use, has good waterproof performance, is easy to carry, and is suitable for tension measurement of forming fabric, press felt, dryer fabric as well as other moving and stationary fabrics.
