How to Install The Forming Fabrics

1. Installation and Alignment of Basic Components: Before installing the forming fabrics, the installation and precise alignment of the core support components of the paper machine fabrics must be completed. This includes breast roll, table roll, forming table, and vacuum suction roll. Installation usually adopts the reserved hole installation method or pre embedded steel plate installation method, which ensures that the centerline, elevation, and levelness of these components meet the requirements of the drawings through two rounds of alignment and grouting, providing a stable operating platform for the forming fabric. 2. Laying and Connection of Forming Fabric: When installing the forming fabric, one end of the forming fabric is passed through and wrapped around components such as breast rolls, table rolls, and suction press roll to form a closed loop. For modern high-speed paper machines, the forming fabric is often made of synthetic fiber materials such as polyester, and its joints are usually inserted through imported plug-in machines for reliable connection to ensure the stability of closed-loop operation. 3. Tensioning and Deviation Adjustment: After the forming fabric is installed in place, appropriate tension needs to be applied through a tensioning device. The tension of the forming fabric should be adjusted according to the paper machine speed, usually within the range of 5.0-6.5 kN/m, to ensure that the fabric does not slip or deviate during operation. At the same time, the deviation adjustment device needs to be adjusted to ensure that the forming fabric always remains in the center position during operation, avoiding uneven paper quality or wear of the forming fabric due to deviation. 4. Key Process Parameter Adjustment: After installation, it is necessary to adjust the process parameters that work in conjunction with the forming fabric to optimize the paper quality. 5. Pulp & Mesh Ratio (R Value): By adjusting the opening of the lip plate of the headbox, the ratio of the speed of the sprayed pulp to the operating speed of the forming fabric is controlled. When the R value is maintained within the range of 0.95-1.05, it is beneficial for the uniform dispersion and distribution of fibers, reducing flocculation. 6. Vibration Parameters: For foudrinier paper machines equipped with vibration devices, the amplitude and frequency of vibration should be set according to the paper machine speed. When the machine speed is below 400 m/min, a larger amplitude (10-20mm) is used to improve the lateral arrangement of fibers; During high-speed operation, the amplitude is reduced by 5-10mm to ensure mechanical stability.
