Application of Dryer Fabric

1. Polyester dryer fabric is a mesh woven from polyester monofilament as raw material, mainly used for drying paper sheets on paper machines.

2. Polyester woven type dryer fabric is divided into 1.5 layer and double layer mesh according to its structure; According to the joint method, it can be divided into two types: endless type and seam type.

3. Users can choose the appropriate type and type of paper according to the usage of the device and the type of paper produced.

1. The lifespan is more than three times that of dryer canvas and dryer felt.

Usage Method of Dryer Fabric

1. The paper machine that originally used dryer canvas and dryer felt can now use polyester dryer fabric without modification. If conditions permit, the original felt roll can be changed to a flat roll and the original felt dryer cylinder can be removed.

2. The endless dryer fabric is circular. Before starting the machine, first remove the inward guide roll, pull the dryer fabric along the usage position, and then reinstall the inward guide roll. Adjust the tension of the wire to 2-3kg/cm2 before starting the machine.

3. The seam type dryer fabric is in the form of a strip, and the two ends of the fabric are connected by spiral rings. When entering the machine, start from one side and thread the connecting wire from one side to the other. If it is difficult to thread it at once, it can be threaded in sections, but the connecting wire must not be cut off. The two ends of the connecting wire should be reversed into the interface to prevent it from coming out.

How to Fix and Clean The Polyester Dryer Fabric

1. There are two types of adhesive bonding and hot melt bonding on both sides of the dryer fabric. If loose edges occur during use, the loose edges can be cut off and then fused and bonded with an electric soldering iron.

2. The dryer fabric may have small holes or local fractures due to hard injuries during use, and can be sewn with thread.

3. In case of folding or other situations during use, an electric iron can be used to iron it flat, but the temperature should not exceed 150℃. The surface of the dryer fabric should be sprayed with clean water to prevent aging.

4. When the machine is shut down due to power outage or other reasons, the air valve should be immediately turned off and the fabric should be loosened to prevent local deformation and aging.

5. When local oil stains appear on the mesh surface, it can be cleaned with gasoline or detergent, and then rinsed with clean water.

6. During transportation, storage, installation, maintenance, and operation, the dryer fabric should be kept away from open flames and high temperatures to prevent burning, aging, and friction with sharp objects to avoid scratching the mesh and reducing its service life.
